Privacy Policy
Effective September 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pera collects, uses, and shares information when you use the service.
1. Information Pera collects
Pera collects account details such as your email address; the trip details, preferences, dates, group composition, and notes you provide; plans and changes created through the service; support messages; and limited technical, usage, security, and device information. Founding Beta passes are complimentary and require no payment information. If Pera later offers a paid pass, payment information will be processed by Stripe and Pera will not store full payment-card numbers.
2. How Pera uses information
Pera uses information to create and save personalized plans, interpret itinerary-adjustment requests, manage accounts and Trip Passes, provide support, operate the waitlist, understand and improve the product, prevent fraud and abuse, protect Pera’s rights and users, comply with law, and communicate about the service. If paid access is offered later, relevant transaction information will also be used to process and support payments.
3. Legal reasons for processing
Depending on where you live, Pera processes information to perform its agreement with you, pursue legitimate interests such as security and product improvement, comply with legal obligations, and act with your consent when consent is required.
4. Service providers and disclosures
Pera shares information with vendors that provide infrastructure, authentication, database hosting, artificial-intelligence processing, payment processing, analytics, communications, and security services, only as needed for those functions. When you use Ask Pera, the request and a limited version of the relevant trip plan are sent to Pera’s AI provider so it can prepare a proposed adjustment. Pera may also disclose information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a corporate transaction. Pera does not sell personal information for money.
5. Analytics, cookies, and local storage
Pera uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in and preserve planning progress. Pera also collects limited first-party product analytics, such as page visits, questionnaire progress, and feature interactions, to understand whether the service works. Browser and device signals may be used for security and rate limiting.
6. Retention
Pera keeps account and trip information while your account or active service relationship requires it and thereafter as reasonably needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, and backup purposes. Waitlist information is kept until the relevant beta invitation process ends or you ask to be removed. Support and security records may be kept long enough to resolve issues and identify recurring abuse.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing where applicable. You may also ask to leave the waitlist. Submit a request through Pera Support. Pera may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required or permitted by law.
8. Children’s information
Pera is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly allow them to create accounts. An adult planner may provide limited age, height, dietary, accessibility, or preference information about members of a travel group so Pera can tailor a plan. Do not provide names or unnecessary sensitive details about children.
9. Security and international processing
Pera uses administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information, but no online system is completely secure. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries with different data-protection laws.
10. Changes and contact
Pera may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated to account holders. Privacy questions and requests may be submitted through Pera Support.
For the related service rules, see Pera’s Terms of Use.
